Meet at the Fork Handles Café – Stow Hall Gardens at 10am for coffee and cake before heading out into Stow Hall Gardens. We will enjoy a guided walk around the gardens with Nigel our Gamekeeper, identifying the best locations for nest boxes and discussing which types are most suitable for different birds. Along the way, we will also spot crow nests, squirrel dreys and other wildlife features, and share tips on how to encourage hedgehogs into your garden.
Points to note
- Numbers are limited to 15 people per walk.
- Please bring binoculars with you if you have them, if not there may be some you can borrow.
- Please be aware that it may be cold or wet during the nature walks, so please dress in appropriate clothing & boots; we may be walking through grass, mud and uneven ground.
- The walks are suitable for all ages but we would prefer children to be 8 or over. The Estate stretches over a few miles and we might be some distance from Church Farm, so it may not always be possible to take a child back to the car if they are not enjoying the walk.
28th March 10:00 – 12:30
- All people aged 8 or over: £12.00
- Stow Hall Gardens Member or Church Farm Membership Holder: £10.00
