Nature Walk from Stow Hall Gardens – Harvest Field Walk

Saturday 1st August

16:00 – 18:30

Meet at the Fork Handles Café at 4pm for coffee and cake before heading out for a guided walk with Nigel our Gamekeeper.

As the combine harvester leaves the fields, a lot of wildlife moves in to take advantage of the bounty left behind. We will be looking out for birds, small mammals and deer, and this time of year offers one of the best opportunities to spot unusual and elusive wildlife.

Points to note

  • Numbers are limited to 15 people per walk.
  • Please bring binoculars with you if you have them, if not there may be some you can borrow.
  • Please be aware that it may be cold or wet during the nature walks, so please dress in appropriate clothing & boots; we may be walking through grass, mud and uneven ground.
  • The walks are suitable for all ages but we would prefer children to be 8 or over. The Estate stretches over a few miles and we might be some distance from Stow Hall Gardens, so it may not always be possible to take a child back to the car if they are not enjoying the walk.
  • Adults & Children aged 8 and over: £12.00
  • Stow Hall Gardens Member or Church Farm Membership Holder: £10.00
